Diamantina Yellow and Gray Carpet by Gio Ponti

About the Item

A sequence of triangles that turn into diamonds, thence to squares and rectangles displaying soft hues and slender shapes embellished with powerful colorful accents. From the original design of Gio Ponti, this Diamantina carpet's decoration reminisces the diamond pattern ceramic tiles often used in the architectural works. Masterworks, such as Tibetan wool and natural silk varieties, contribute to a feeling of harmony and a sense of proportion struck by the perfect balance between design, shape and color. This 300 x 250cm carpet is made of 30% pure silk and 70% Tibetan wool (hand spun and hand carded).
