About the Item
This fine wool needlepoint rug is a fine example of Portuguese rugs from the 20th century. The design features a symmetrical central design woven in pink and yellow accents on a subtle cream background. The edge of the rug has been finished with a fringe adding texture to this unique piece.
This vintage rug was woven by hand with fine hand-spun wool and cotton that have been organically dyed with vegetable dyeing techniques that have been used for generations. The techniques and materials used in the construction make this wool rug durable and sure to last for generations if cared for correctly.
