About the Item

The immersive pattern of this unique Himalayan hand-knotted wool rug are inspired by the grandeur of the city of Osaka. Geometry comes to life as round shapes and vivid ombres boldly align with one another. Become submersed in the architecture of the city. Woven at 12mm pile height. All Jensin Okunishi Studio rugs are Good Weave certified and made to order in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our Himalayan wool is carefully sheered from a native breed of sheep and is then sorted, cleaned, and carded in Nepal. Our artisans are not only highly skilled weavers, but are also skilled dyers as well, and are able to custom match colors for you. Custom sizing, color ways, and pile heights are available. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs please allow for a tolerance of +/- 5% in the width and length.

Minimalist Persian Mazandaran Flatweave Blue Wool Rug
By Nasiri
Located in New York, NY
Our Mazandaran Collection highlights the minimalist sophistication that existed long before the modern era. These rugs are inspired by the kilims that were woven by Persian women in the Mazandaran Province in central-northern Iran just below the Caspian Sea. Although being woven for centuries, the kilims were only recently discovered because they were solely created for in-house use and bridal dowries. NASIRI is honored to be continuing this rich tradition of Mazandaran flatweaves...
