Mid-century Rug European Soldiers Design , 1920-1950

About the Item

This is a modern European pictorial hand-knotted rug woven during the second quarter of the 20th century circa 1920 - 1950s and 180 x 121CM in size. This piece depicts 7 European soldiers marching in a uniform line holding a long horizontal arrow with a rabbit located in the bottom right corner and the sun in the top right-hand corner. Each figure has a unique and distinctive stance with two people looking at the sun one looking at the rabbit two of them carrying unique objects all set on a beige background color that has rows of individual and grouped dots giving texture to the floor and sky. This piece has been retained in excellent condition With an extremely high and dense pile making this creative rug perfect for any child's playroom or a statement piece to be hung on the wall.
