About the Item

Surrealist Charm in Miniature Handcrafted using traditional French tapestry techniques from the 1960s, this rug captures Miró’s hallmark abstraction: fluid black silhouettes, bold red and powder-blue accents, and playful organic shapes set against a contrasting field. Its kinetic composition teems with seemingly spontaneous motifs, evoking Miró’s artistic dance between dream and form. Artistry & Craftsmanship Technique & Texture: Executed with chain-stitched tapestry weaving, each thread weaves a narrative of movement. Authenticity of Era: Crafted in France circa 1960s during a modernist textile revival, when Miró collaborated with European ateliers to translate his visions into tapestries . Personalized Touch: Subtle variations reflect its handcrafted nature, granting each piece a unique signature and trace of artisanal individuality. Compact Statement: Ideal for an entryway, under a small coffee table, or as a dynamic wall-hung artwork. Bold Expression: Despite its size, it exudes the whimsy, surrealist wonder, and color-driven energy of Miró’s larger works. Versatile Display: Rug or wall tapestry—it adapts to your style, whether flooring or feature art on a canvas. Enhance your environment with this diminutive yet powerful artifact—a wearable testament to Joan Miró’s imaginative world. Offered by Nazmiyal Antique Rugs – satisfaction guaranteed, it promises to be both a treasured collectible and an invigorating visual centerpiece. Own a touch of surrealism. Every glance invites discovery, every thread fosters creativity, and every placement becomes a curated moment of modern art.
