Vintage 1970s carpet by Kent Scott
About the Item
This vintage rug from the 1970s by Ken Scott (1918-1991), the celebrated American designer known for his bright and bold floral patterns. The carpet features a dark green background, reminiscent of a lush garden, almost evoking an atmosphere of pristine and lush nature. Set against this background are large realistic flowers in bright, saturated colors such as red, orange, yellow, blue, pink, and purple. Each flower is depicted in fine detail, as if they were hand-painted.
The frame around the carpet is a light green, which gently contrasts with the dark background, framing the entire floral scene and giving a sense of balance and harmony to the design. On the edge, in one corner, the initials "KS" are visible.
Made of pure wool.
