Vintage Savannerie Rug 11’1” x 21’4”. Precisely the thick pile, coarse knotted carpets of the French Royal Factory; generally applied now to French, Spanish or Austrian carpets in the Savonnerie manner. Mostly room size. Antique examples are expensive to very expensive.  Volutes and acanthus Neo-classicism. Baroque, Rococo, Louis and Directoire-Empire designs.
