An 18th Century French Open Armchair

About the Item

An 18th-Century French walnut open armchair. The seat with carved apron and cabriole legs terminating in hoofed feet. The carved open arm with tapestry upholstered armrests, flanking arched back and seat. Both with colorful early 18th c tapestry depicting ewers with grapes and foliage. The outside back covered in green chenille fabric. The upholstery refreshed with new springs, webbing, etc, and trimmed with patinated brass nails.
