About the Item

Handcrafted in 1960s Czechia by TON furniture makers, this pair of Midcentury Modernist armchairs are a find to treasure. The silhouette is stylish and clean, softened by rounded edges and soft corners. The bold black lines of the wooden frame demarcate the space in which the seat appears to float, weightless. Comfortable cushions, upholstered in cream boucle, create a compelling juxtaposition of textures and tones with the ink black patina of the skillfully-joined beechwood.
