1990s Spazzapan Italian Pop Art Pair of Pink Yellow Metal Armchairs Sculptures
About the Item
This fun pair of armchairs is a unique organic modern design manufactured and signed by the Italian artist, Anacleto Spazzapan (Luino, Italy - 1943). Very functional for their fun use inside as well as outside furniture. The handmade structure is created with hand-welded thin iron tubes, cold painted in lemon yellow. One chair bears in the back his signature. Every piece by Anacleto Spazzapan is individually designed and manufactured. He chooses natural materials and he loves baroque art, he values history and the handmade.
In his own words: "Everything inspires me. Sometimes it’s something I see, other times it’s the mathematic formula I rely on to produce the functional item I have in mind. A chair, for example, needs to have a certain size and be comfortable, and those are the crucial features to start first the creative process and then the manufacturing one. To me, a design object must be functional."
Anacleto conveys joy and exuberance in his work, and loves to play with rich vivid colors, shapes, and curves.
His furniture is highly collectible and decorates the most exclusive interiors all over the world.

This sculptural lemon yellow metal cabinet is a fun, unique, and rare organic Modern Art Design cabinet, sculpted and signed AS - by the Italian artist, Anacleto Spazzapan (Luino, Italy - 1943). The handmade structure, consisting of hand-welded thin iron tubes, typical of Spazzapan creations, is cold painted in a happy gold canary color. The iron tubes create a 3-D Rococo design and the transparency brings this piece to life.
Suitable for all types of environments, indoors and outdoors, thanks to the use of epoxy powder paint which protects the iron from rusting with a preparation base in zinc black paint.
