Amazonas Chair by Ayres

About the Item

Amazonas Chair by Ayres Dimensions: Ø W 55 x H 110 cm . Materials: Marble. Inspired by the ancient culture of the Amazons, this design embraces their legendary spirit, seeking, through geometrical and simple shapes, the virtuosity between their body and minds. Through this harmony, this object pretends to capture in time the mythical sources of their strength. The shapes and compositions of this design follow a narrative of the women’s identity through the symbolic memory of their collective history. The circumference radiates the crafted shields these brave women carried through the toughest battles in balance with a beautiful and delicate texture. The finesse of this design continues with two lateral bases that resemble the solid grounds of their characters in power and intelligence. The structure of the back proposes a homage to their temples that sheltered their culture. Sit and behold! At AYRES we design utilitarian objects and furniture with a primary aesthetic. Our basic shapes are unique, recalling pre-Hispanic utensils. Inspired by our historical, natural and primitive roots, we highlight the beauty of materials, design and quality. We work with natural materials such as volcanic stone, marble and natural leather. Our processes are completely handmade allowing each object to be a unique piece, we love to always explore new techniques and materials. We work our designs in several states of Mexico. We seek to establish fair trade conditions with artisans and that allow us to offer 100% handmade objects with high quality materials and the most beautiful craftsmanship. Our philosophy is that we all deserve special objects that tell a story and a purpose within our spaces, that is why we personally search for the materials and artisans with whom we work, they give a sentimental and totally intimate side to each of our designs. We design and create simple objects made by hand with the best materials and with a great story behind it, proposing a simple, natural and personal life.
