About the Item

This is an antique Arts and Crafts Harden large lounge arm chair from the early 1900s Mission / Arts & Crafts period. It is in very good condition. The chair is made from a great selection of quarter sawn oak with original finish. The chair has the original finish. Leather on the chair has been reupholstered using the finest quality hand-split black leather, then stuffed with cotton and hair. NO Foam! STURDY and STRONG and ready to use in your home. We purchase most of our furniture from well known collections in New York and in Philadelphia. We may pay a little more but we get the BEST. We have over 5,000 pieces of real Stickley, Roycroft, and Limbert furniture. We buy from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture. BTW - We have dealt with original Gustav Stickley items (circa early 1900s) since early 1970s in New York. For the last 44 yrs we have had a retail shop on Rt 15 in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. We do not deal in "Estate Condition" or "As Is" pieces. Unless there is an issue/concern/defect noted in the description, the buyer can be assured that there are none. Many times furniture pieces sold in "Auction" circumstances have problems, such as weakness in the structure, replaced parts, poor repairs, amateur glue or finish work, or veneer lifting/missing. We do not deal in "Flea Market" type items. W7658
