This is an antique drawing room elbow chair. An English, mahogany and leather desk seat, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Fine Regency example with good taste and elegance Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present fine grain interest Delightful palette of caramel hues and chestnut tanned leather Distinctive bowed crest rail with gadrooned finish Shaped back splay with spiral flowerhead motif to centre Striking serpentine arms with swept supports and scrolled knuckles Traditionally stuffed cushion, at a comfortable height of 46cm (18'') Finished with appealing press stud trim to the lower edge Standing upon turned front legs with gently swept rear legs This is a superb antique drawing room elbow chair, with appealing colour and delightful Regency period form. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
