About the Item

Art Deco vintage armchair or lounge chair from walnut and electric blue textile fabric designed and executed circa 1925 Vienna in the circle of Fritz Gross. While the walnut frame is shellac polished by hand, the seat and back are reupholstered with bold blue textile fabric for a color splash. The back cushion is removable. This Viennese furniture piece or Wiener Möbel or Viennese living from the interwar period could perfectly use as a freestanding comfortable fireplace armchair. The Viennese living or Wiener Möbel was brushed up on the living variants after the first world war in Austria. Freestanding and freely set up furnitures and various unique furniture pieces formed the trend in Austria. In this period they liked individual furnitures and mostly solo color tones except for the multicolored flower patterns designed and used by Josef Frank. The Art Deco armchair is in very good condition and ready to live. approx. measures: Width 65 cm Depth 72 cm Height 84.5 cm Seat height 45 cm.
