About the Item
Absolute extraordinary, one of kind Art Nouveau palisander armchair from the very early 20th century in Vienna around 1905. This impressive antique armchair is not just a "normal" armchair - much more, it is a masterpiece of architectural furniture art. Coming from an old Vienesse manor house, this elaborately crafted, massive armchair/ fauteuil was commissioned by a very wealthy family as another part of the master´s office (see also our matching octagonal side table) and is an absolutely exceptional item of Art Nouveau furniture. Artfully designed and made with only the finest materials like this fantastic looking palisander veneer, this stunning 20th century armchair convinces with its outstanding quality. An incredible piece from the famous "Vienna Secession" period standing on four elegantly curved, feet which are building the sideparts at the same time, each highlighted by extraordinary looking patterns made with delicate inlayed brass stripes and unusual designed burl wood fields with round, different shimmering mother of pearl inlays. Addtionally all feet are mounted with fantastic looking, shiny brass feet which confer this Art Nouveau armchair an absolute matchless look. The beautiful dark brown upholstery in fine leather, still the original one, is in great condition. Finished with a traditional hand-polished shellac finish, this 20th century Art Nouveau armchair is an absolute unique gem.

Artfully designed and made with only the finest materials like this amazing palisander veneer, this exceptional octagonal shaped table convinces with an outstanding quality. An incredible piece from the famous Vienna Secession period standing on eight artfully crafted, slightly ebonized legs, each highlighted by extraordinary looking patterns made with delicate inlayed brass stripes and unusual designed burl wood fields with round, different shimmering mother of pearl inlays. Addtionally all table legs were mounted with fantastic looking, shiny brass feet which confers this Art Nouveau table a peerless appearance. The beautiful table top, upholstered in fine leather, shows the still original pad in absolute great condition. Finished with a traditional shellac polish this masterpiece of an Art Nouveau coffee/ side table is an absolute unique gem.
