About the Item

Circa 1800-1820 country English Regency period arm chair. In well figured, warm color ash wood, the country cousin to the mahogany ones of the city. Raised on bold, square, tapered legs with stretchers. Reeded arms ending in urn supports. Lyre form backsplat. Newly upholstered seat (previously caned). Some old worm holes in right back upright. 20.5" w., 20" d., 33" h.
