About the Item

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period elm wood armchair from the 19th century with hand-carved apron and floral motifs. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century, this elm wood armchair features a slightly out-scrolling stick back, adorned with two delicate hand-carved floral motifs interrupting the mid section. Connected to two arms of similar style, the back rests on a rectangular wooden seat showcasing typical knots and imperfections.
