On offer on this occasion is a rare, superb Christopher Guy “Majestic” Armchair, dressed in a luxurious, top-grade velvet in dark-grey and “Java Cafe” varnished frame and legs.
As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this listing, Christopher Guy pieces are the epitome of classic English furniture design, are of supreme quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of the finest standard.

This piece is in superb, beautifully-maintained condition, showing light signs of use, consistent with the regular, residential employment it has seen, and is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its terrific order reflects the TLC and considerate use afforded it in the past but, as you would expect, there is the odd area of compromise to be found.
In this case, there are a number of minuscule, light marks and blemishes to the fabric, fram and legs, but these issues are mentioned more for the purposes of accuracy rather than because they detract significantly from the undeniable beauty of this piece.
