Classic French Pair of Antique Highly Carved Louis XVI Armchairs or Fauteuils
About the Item
Pair of antique 19th century French Louis XVI armchairs with new neutral high end British upholstery. Carved beautifully in walnut with a fantastic patina. Each chair is raised by fine and uniquely shaped circular fluted legs below carved block rosettes. At the frieze is a most decorative carved pattern simple lines which extends around the sides and the back. They could be used as occasional chairs in different parts of the house, or dining chairs at the head of a table. #6321
