About the Item

Pair of Art Deco armchairs, Danish work from the 1940s. These two generously proportioned armchairs embody the elegance of Danish furniture from the 1940s, in the spirit of Fritz Hansen. With their fan-shaped tufted backrests, they are designed to follow the curves of the body, offering exceptional comfort. Richly upholstered, they are covered in a soft beige-yellow velvet, evoking the refined and muted interiors of the era. The armrests are detailed with delicate gathers, echoing the pleating of the backrests. The whole piece rests on dark-stained solid beech hemispherical feet, adding both stability and character. Danish work, circa 1940.
