Early Victorian Mahogany Armchair with Tufted Leather Upholstery, England

About the Item

An early Victorian armchair in mahogany with curved top rail, scrolled arms, turned front legs and saber back legs. Seat is upholstered in a tufted, beige/camel-colored leather with brass nailheads. England, circa 1840. Note: There are a pair of side chairs offered separately that were part of the set: LU988117711531. Makes a handsome and comfortable desk chair! Measures: 21 3/4" wide x 22" deep x 33 1/4" high (Seat height: 19 1/2").

    Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Chair is in very good condition w/ wear consistent w/ age & use. Frame was cleaned & polished. Leather seat is strong, has a lovely patina & is in antique serviceable condition w/ some superficial cracks & chafe marks. Chair is strong & comfortable.
