The overall design is perfectly balanced and the frame of this chair is solely made out of a beautifully warm colored, solid walnut. Firstly, the good size lion head on the front rule comes with majestic manes and his eyes have a human-like quality to them. Secondly and most importantly are the amazing swan head and tail sculptures. Swan head sculptures in wood are extremely rare and to have found a chair with a pair of perfectly hand carved and mint condition swan heads (and necks) as armrests and with tails on either side of the backrest more than made our day. If you have a good eye for rare details then, we think, you will especially love the perfect nose holes, but also the hand carved wooden swan tail-ends.
