About the Item

František Jirák for Tatra Nábytok lounge chairs in original green upholstery, 1960s. These pair of two lounge armchairs were designed by František Jirák for Tatra Nabytok in the 1960s, and feature original bentwood armrests and an ash wooden structure. The green upholstery is still in good condition, with minor signs of age and use. They would make a striking addition to any room, be it a living room, family room, screening room, or office. They would also fit perfectly in a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, or luxury boutique. While there is some minor patina on the wood, it is still in excellent shape. However, please note that the fabric may require reupholstering before use. By choosing the used midcentury design, you make a sustainable choice, giving the furniture a second, third, or even fourth life. midcentury design furniture is often high-quality and built to last, with some pieces having a rich history that can still be seen in their signs of wear.

1960s Mid-Century Czech Armchairs, a Pair
By Jaroslav Smidek
Located in High Point, NC
Produced in the former Czechoslovakia, this essential 1960s design is attributed to Jaroslav Šmídek.
