About the Item

Splendid antique French wood and leather armchair produced in the 19th century, splendid French manufacture. There are 4 wooden legs for support, the two at the back are sinuous but smooth, the front ones are carved and playful. The back legs rise up to frame the backrest, taking a soft shape. The front legs, on the other hand, rise to create the armrests, via an elegant wooden S that creates two curls that close up and create a beautiful, prominent effect. The armrests are covered in a beautiful brown leather, original to the period. The seat is splendid, covered in brown leather, attached to the frame by brass studs. The backrest is very beautiful, with ears that fold in on themselves, creating a sweet wraparound effect. There are decorative buttons here. The armchair is suitable for important studios, but also for collectors who know their way around.
