Very beautiful pair of armchairs "à la reine" in painted and gilded rechampi wood, molded and carved with volutes and stylized flowers. The legs are curved and arched with flower falls Armrests with cuffs, curved and molded supports. Wide and deep seat, shell crosspiece. Very comfortable The armchairs are very well upholstered with a floral velvet in pink and green tones. Rococo style - Louis XV style Napoleon III period - 19th century In the style of Nicolas Heurtaut received master in 1753, under Louis XV. This pair of armchairs à la reine is part of a set, which can be sold complete or separately, also including a sofa and two chairs, which you will find in our gallery The Louis XV style succeeds the Regency style. It is also called the Rocaille or Rococo style. The inventors of the Louis XV style are true creators in the modern sense of the term, revolutionizing the way of looking at furniture and interior decoration. In this respect it can be compared to the Gothic style and Art Nouveau in the sense that they represent creation and technical advances in the use of materials.
