French Partially Gilt Wrought Iron Armchair or Lounge Chair by Gilbert Poillerat

Elegant French modern neoclassical form hand-hammered wrought iron chair for desk, vanity or lounge by Gilbert Poillerat with the seat structure from a design by Andre Arbus. The chair features a Classic Curile form (rounded X-form) leg supporting structure and X-form back structure. It sits on hand made gilt bronze sabots and gilt iron finials are used to finish the piece at the top. The chair is delicately hammered and chiselled and the patina is a soft natural black that plays off the gilt details. A small masterpiece of tasteful design and craftsmanship from Poillerat.
