About the Item

A petite wooden child’s chair in the Louis-Philippe style from the 19th century. This petite 19th century French wooden Louis-Philippe style child’s armchair is covered on the backrest and seat with a smooth new cream double welt muslin upholstery. The rectangular backrest, with its curved scrolling top rail, sits above a padded seat flanked by two scrolled arms with upholstered armrests. The wood has a rich and deep patina, which, in characteristic Louis-Philippe style, contrasts nicely with the light upholstery. Standing on two front cabriole legs and two curved rear legs, this 19th century petite French armchair would be an elegant addition to any traditional home.
