About the Item

These six rare model P10 upholstered armchairs are an elegant and decorative creation by Ignazio Gardella, one of the masters of 20th-century Italian design. The six armchairs are upholstered in skai, a synthetic vinyl leather much in use in those years, and the cover is the original one. The design and proportions make these armchairs very comfortable even to stand around a table, like real chairs. The production, as is often the case with Gardella's creations, was done directly by Azucena, the company that Ignazio Gardella founded with Luigi Caccia Dominioni in 1947. The model has been created in 1963 for an event in Rome. Condition is good, with minor signs of use on the cover consistent with use over the years, and only one consolidation restoration has been made to one of the legs of an armchair.
