Italian Pair of Barrel-Back Carved-Wood & Upholstered Armchairs Mid-20th Century

About the Item

An Italian pair of carved wood armchairs, with upholstered back and seats, from the mid 20th century. This vintage pair of occasional chairs from Italy each have nicely rounded/barreled backs rest supports- upholstered and framed within a wooden surround of clean lines and a straight-edge top chair rail. The sides slope down into arm rests that terminate into curled knuckles with gold floral medallions accentuating either side. The seats are upholstered and wood skirting is clean and simple. The chairs are raised on a pair of squared and reed-carved legs at front, with gold tone floral accents above the knees, and squared back legs which saber outward. The cream upholstery is not new, but is is okay/usable condition. This mid-century pair of Italian barreled back armchairs with gold accents will make an elegant and sophisticated statement, while together creating an intimate seating arrangement within your study, living or bedroom.
