French velvet fabric by Sabina Baxton. Provenance: Christies, sale number 9214 Rococo polychrome painted armchair from Venice. Silk velvet damask upholstered seat. Incurved acanthus-carved crest-rail and pierced asymmetrical rocaille splat above a bowed seat. Cabriole legs. Painted overall with floral clusters, largely redecorated. Height: 39.5 inches / 100.33 cm Width: 24 inches / 60.96 cm Depth: 19.5 inches / 49.53 cm Arm Height: 27 inches / 68.58 cm Seat Height: 20 inches / 50.8 cm Seat Depth: 17.5 inches / 44.45 cm
