Marquetry Armchair with Satinwood Inlays, New York, circa 1890

About the Item

A late 19th century New York armchair in the early 18th century Dutch-Style in mahogany decorated with inlays in other woods of bows, birds, rinceau of flowers and foliage, with a solid vase-shaped splat, drop-in seat, and cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet. Marquetry decorates the entire chair, including the outside back, New York, circa late 1800s. Note: You should always request a shipping quote.     Reupholstered. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Mahogany chair with inlays in satinwood & other various woods Minor veneer repairs were professionally made to chair in our workshop and chair was French polished. Slip seat was upholstered in muslin which is a cotton under fabric.
