About the Item

Mid-century single armchair designed by Jack Van Der Molen, circa 1950s. The frame is made from rich oak wood that exudes a warm, natural quality, with the wood's grain adding a unique texture and richness to the overall design. The wood grain pops against the fabric and showcases its minimalist aesthetic, clean lines, and timeless craftsmanship. This armchair has been newly reupholstered. We chose a velvet fabric in a dusty purple color. The color is vibrant, yet does not overpower the chair, and compliments the wood tone. If you want a pop of color, but want low saturation and easy to incorporate, this fabric is perfect. Soft to the touch and an overall very comfortable sit. The versatile design allows it to pair well with other furniture styles, from Scandinavian to American modern, showcasing Jack Van Der Molen's versatility and forward-thinking approach to design.
