About the Item

Midcentury Italian armchair. Beautiful armchairs in characteristic Italian style of Paolo Buffa, Vittorio Dassi and Osvaldo Borsani. Single armchair in violet color. All upholstered in violet velvet. Two small arms allow a snug seat, low and comfortable, with a backrest that tight spreads upward. The armchair is raised from the ground by four wooden black legs, which from wide to tighten towards the floor. Very beautiful and sought the violet velvet coming from "Seterie of Zoagli". As you can see from the picture, the armchair is covered in violet velvet also in the back part. The armchair has been restored respecting the canons of the period of construction of this. The expert craftsman of our interior workshop has been able to perfectly capture the type of restoration in the wooden part, maintaining the state but perfectly re-polishing the walnut wood legs. For each piece, before the departure, a revision is redone, to make sure it arrives in excellent condition.

Mid-Century 366 Armchair in Purple Velvet, by Jozef Chierowski, Europe 1960s
By Jozef Chierowski
Located in 05-080 Hornowek, PL
The 366 armchair is an icon of the polish design of the PRL period. The famous armchair was designed in 1962 by the Polish interior designer and furniture designer Jozef Marian Chierowski. Produced in the Lower Silesian Furniture Factory in Swiebodzice. The chair has a simple, modernist form. It consists of an upholstered seat combined with a wooden backrest. The organic shape is typical of the 1960s style. The chair is very ergonomic and comfortable, as the furniture designs of that time were largely focused on the user. Due to its small size, the furniture fits perfectly into the interiors of contemporary apartments, perfectly meeting the needs of customers. The chair is in perfect condition after a professional renovation. We can prepare this set also in another wood and fabric color. Please check color samples on the last pictures. About the fabric: This is special collection of velvet in a stunning color range of more than 100 different shades of both pure classic...
