About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning one of a kind fully restored G Plan Housemaster swivel armchair Simply put this is the absolute finest example of this chair anywhere in the world today! This chair offers unparalleled comfort, it swivels effortlessly, has castors, the base frame is one large leaf spring and the teak bentwood has natural flex, its all held together with oversized chromed straps The chair has been fully restored to include having all the cushions remade with luxury premium 100% cattle hide plain fully aniline leather, they retain the original stuffing, they have been upholstered on both sides with leather so are reversible and have vents at the bottom of the cushions so the padding breaths and stays nice plump and comfortable. All leather has then been hand dyed this glorious deep cigar brown colour, the teak frame has been lightly washed back and then French polished, this is the only chair in the world with this leather, the only one hand dyed by my leather polishers and the only one with a frame French polished to this standard, it is the best of the best bar none! Dimensions Height 94cm Width 90cm Depth 93cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
