A very good looking well made and decorative piece of art furniture, In the year in which Queen Elizbeth II became the longest serving monarch of the United Kingdom, I am pleased to be able to offer this rare and superb quality oak and red leather upholstered throne chair, embossed in gilt lettering with the phrase ‘Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee 1977’. Inspired by the Coronation chair in Westminster Abbey, this chair was made by Wood Bros Ltd of Hertfordshire as one of a limited edition of 500. This example retailed for £294 in 1977, approximately the equivalent of £2,000 in today’s prices We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age-related patina marks here and there from genuine age and honest use The patina is very nice, the leather in good order, this is a relatively economically priced piece of English Royal history Dimensions Height:- 141cm Width:- 70cm Depth:- 79cm Seat height:- cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
