About the Item
Pair Antique French Louis XV Painted Armchairs with Leather represent the epitome of the style, with gracefully contoured frameworks emulating the forms of nature, surrounding the ergonomically tufted seatback and generous seat. Scrolled armrest supports mirror the scrolled curvatures of the cabriole legs below. Ornamentation includes hand-carved floral and foliate motifs from the seatback crown to the escargots on the tips of the feet. The painted finish enhances the carved detail creating a splendid visual presence.
