About the Item

A Fine Pair of English Regency Period Simulated Rosewood Bobbin Turned Armchairs. These well proportioned chairs have the high backs associated with bergeres and library chairs of the period. The backs of these chairs are constructed entirely from turned bobbins. The front legs of the chairs are also beautifully turned but with a complementary pattern of knobs and balusters. The chairs retain their quality original socket castors and the simulated rosewood finish has patinated beautifully.
