About the Item

This elegant pair of antique armchairs was created in France, circa 1880. The large fauteuils with tall and rolled back, stand on turned front legs decorated with square medallions at the shoulders over a bombe apron, and curved back legs; each back is further decorated with a carved vase motif at the pediment. The elegant armrests dressed with padded fabric, are embellished with small carved fluted columns on both sides and topped with a round floral medallion. The comfortable and deep seat have a plush down seat cushions and a round bolster back pillow. Both chairs are upholstered with a neutral off white canvas fabric, making them an easy addition to any room. The Louis Philippe style armchairs are in excellent condition and painted in soft two-tone white and gray rubbed patinated antique finish. Measures: 29.5"W x 33"D x 39"H.
