About the Item
A pair of particularly light and fine antique armchairs in Art Nouveau style finished in Chestnut brown Walnut. The chairs feature fanned backs with hand-pulled caning under oval finials echoing stylish X-form splats meeting at open loop cross-sections, complimenting gently curved arms. Loose seat cushions in pale yellow fabric with piped trims are set atop nicely caned seats supported by turned and tapered front legs on arrow feet. The cushions have some old stains however the chairs present best without the cushions.
Dimensions: 21" W, 20 1/2" D, 33 3/4" H, 17 1/2" seat height.
Condition: Please see detail photos. As mentioned above, there is some old staining to the cushions which should be remade and the chairs without the cushions present verywell. There is a wood loss at the junction of the arm support and the seat with some glue residue, otherwise presenting in a particularly fine manner.
