About the Item
These French armchairs from circa 1920 embody the refined elegance of the Louis XVI style with their neoclassical proportions and crisp detailing. Crafted from solid beechwood, the frames are hand-carved with delicate rosettes, acanthus leaves, and fluted motifs, all enhanced by a subtly distressed patinated finish in soft antique white. The square backs, straight arms, and tapered legs reflect the restrained sophistication characteristic of late 18th-century design while offering a timeless appeal.
Recently reupholstered in a high-quality neutral linen, these chairs provide both comfort and versatility. The generously cushioned seats and padded backs make them as inviting as they are stylish, while the exposed wood frames showcase the craftsmanship and decorative artistry of the period.
Perfect as accent chairs in a living room, flanking a console in an entryway, or as statement seating in a bedroom, this pair exudes classical charm with a touch of modern sensibility. Their neutral palette allows them to blend seamlessly with both traditional and contemporary interiors, making them a sophisticated and functional addition to any space.
