A pair of magnificent and high quality Italian 18th century Louis XV period Roman giltwood throne armchairs. Each finely carved chair is raised on cabriole legs accented with large acanthus leaves. The scrolled frieze is decorated with a large foliate central reserve and foliate all along the sides. The scrolled arms connect to the wide carved back with a pierced top crown and foliate garlands draping each side.
