The live edge pomelle Eucalyptus "throne" by Taylor Donsker features a stunning array of detail and craftsmanship. Beginning with a section of rare Pommele Eucalyptus, Taylor methodically hand carvs the seat, back, and arm rests with both comfort and tactile sensibilities in mind. The backrest is adorned with Taylor's signature polished brass corset joinery to both highlight the natural imperfections in the wood and prevent wood movement over time. The finely hand-sanded surfaces and organic oil/wax finish make this piece incredibly soft and pleasant to the touch. This piece sits atop a massive cast bronze base with polished ends that is recessed into the throne. A solid granite foot stool is strategically positioned for added comfort and materiality. All wooden elements in the table are finished with Taylor's signature, velvety smooth hand rubbed oil and wax finish and handcrafted in Northern California. Similar pieces can be commissioned and customized to the client's requested dimensions. Multiple wood species available.
