About the Item

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period dark brown lacquered armchair from the 19th century with out-curving stickback and low stretchers. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this armchair features an open stick back with out-curving lines, connected to two arms adorned in a similar manner. A rectangular planked seat is resting upon a reeded apron while the ensemble is raised on four straight cylindrical legs connected to one another through low stretchers providing additional strength to the piece. Boasting a dark brown lacquer complimenting the lines beautifully, the chair charms with its simple modernity. With its clean lines and subtle décor, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period dark brown lacquered chair from the 19th century will make for an elegant addition to any home, perhaps displayed in a living room, bedroom, hallway or study where its simple aspect would perfectly fit in a working atmosphere.
