Pair of armchairs by french designer Jacques Hitier produced by Tubauto, 1950s, France. They consist of two wooden armrests and a black lacquered metal base (original paint which may show slight signs of wear). They have been reupholstered in a white loopback fabric. Very comfortable and elegant
