About the Item
This is an exceptional and extremely rare and beautiful pair of over-sized armchairs in the Louis XV style. They are from the 1870s era and are ornately carved with Italian red clay bole underlining the genuine gold leaf. The upholstery is still clean and has been reupholstered recently and we think may be silk, but we are not 100 percent sure. They upholstery is clean but may show signs of use and stains that don't show in the photos. The frames are absolutely stunning with minor signs of age and use as shown in photos. These are masterfully made antique chairs. They are French.
