About the Item

This fantastic pair of 19th Century English arm chairs, with a variation of the x-frame design, are made of mahogany and upholstered in an olive green, patinated leather. The carved legs, hand-nailed decorative studding in brass and the distinctive arms make these chairs both interesting and substantial. The feet of the legs are fitted with brass casters. One of the chairs is 1/2 inch shorter than the other, likely from refinishing at a prior time. Comfortable and easily moved for maximum flexibility.
