Antique English 19th Century Victorian Carved Oak Hall Window Seat Bench 1890

About the Item

A very attractive antique late 19th century carved oak hall bench seat, circa 1890. This very elegant and whimsical carved bench having an ornately carved back rest with a scrolled pediment, below is a carved frieze of demi-lune devices, the bench having a substantial plank seat & will comfortably seat 2-3 people. The base having an arched arcaded gallery decorated with a series of acorn finials, the bench is raised on ring-turned baluster legs. Condition is excellent, original finish, the bench is very sturdy & robust and ready to grace your space.

The hall seat is very finely carved from quarter-sawn oak and having a tall arched top mirror back.
