About the Item
This contemporary bench shows that perspective is a visual illusion that gives the notion of depth to an image. The Horizon bench has its shape drawn from this concept, having a width difference between its ends.
The bases of this contemporary styled bench follow the same notion, having its diameter defined by the dimension of the seat. The proposed shape causes a visual distortion to the bench, which appears to be in perspective. That is, the horizon imposes itself to the piece.
The seat of the benches is made of solid ebonized wood with matte finish and it is sculptured by hand. The bases are made of flexible plywood with the same matte finish.
Horizon bench is a limited edition of 15 + 2AP. The pieces come signed and numbered.

RAIN
RAIN is composed of Ricardo Innecco and MarianaRamos, respectively an architect and a product designer. They were both born in Brasília and established in São Paulo (Brazil), where they started to work in collaboration. RAIN was founded in 2014 with the purpose of developing design with artistic freedom.
Their work includes serial produced pieces, limited editions and commissioned artistic projects. Their interest is linked to the production of provocative pieces with great communication capacity.
