High-backed chair with engraved seat. The backrest is decorated with small turned balusters and side rods topped with rounded pins that emphasise its classic, handcrafted character. The structure is made up of straight, sturdy shapes, with reinforcing crosspieces between the legs, which guarantees stability and firmness when sitting. The seat, fixed with exposed nails, is flat and made from the same wood as the structure, showing marks of use that suggest its antiquity and authenticity. The legs, of a simple design with gentle twists, are reminiscent of the Brazilian colonial or popular style of the early 20th century and may be a piece of regional manufacture.
