About the Item

Shipping Note: If your region or country is not listed under the shipping options, don't hesitate to get in touch with us directly. Important Care Information: When purchasing a chair, stool, table, or any other piece of furniture that stands on the floor, please inspect the legs and underside before use. Ensure you use the appropriate floor protectors based on your flooring type (e.g., felt gliders, anti-scratch gliders, etc.). If you have any questions regarding the correct floor protection, feel free to contact us. This set of five beautiful old German Stabellen are quintessential farmers' chairs from the turn of the century. These chairs are primitively crafted without glue or nails, relying on an interlocking system for construction. Traditionally, during the colder months when farmers had more time, they would create wooden furniture like chairs, boxes, or kitchen utensils, decorating them with intricate carvings or floral paintings. This set is particularly special as the legs are turned with beautiful decorations, showcasing high woodworking skills. The chairs show some wear, reflecting their long history of use. Some have been repaired with glue and wax, and while most of the backrests wiggle slightly (as seen in the video), they remain sturdy.
